Although Pharaoh Tutankhamun did not accomplish much in his short life, the amazing discovery of his tomb by Howard Carter in 1922 will be remembered forever.  Tutankhamun's tomb, the most complete ever found up to that time, provided modern humans with incredible amounts of knowledge about ancient Egyptian civilization.  Although Tut's tomb unlocked many mysteries for modern historians, one still remained: how Tutankhamun died.  Scientists and historians have been creating theories since Tut was found to explain how such a young and powerful king could have died so early.  To the left, you will see links with information about Pharaoh Tutankhamun, the discovery of his tomb and some theories as to how he may have met his tragic end.
